Does this apply only to photos?

You can choose to download any media being sent by your center - that means both photos and videos!

Does this mean the free version of the app now gives me lower quality images than before?

Not at all, the free version of downloading images remains the same as earlier. Compressing images is standard practice; companies like Facebook compress the photos uploaded to their application to make it run quickly and efficiently for their customers, and HiMama does the same. This new update means you can get access to the non-compressed, original quality version of your photos and videos with the click of a button.

Why is this offer not part of the free version of HiMama?

HiMama has always compressed the photos you take in order to let the app load quickly on all types of devices. While we want to provide access to higher quality photos, it is costly for us to store these and make them available. We believe that charging a small fee to parents will help make HiMama a more valuable service to them while helping us to offset some of those costs.

How can I subscribe?

You can sign up directly through the app. When you select any image, it will give you an option to download the regular compression version, or sign up for Photos Plus and get access to the original quality version. You can then proceed to add any payment method of your choice. Photos Plus is available for just $2.99/month.

What if I want to unsubscribe?

To cancel registration, all you have to do is go to your app More menu, into “Manage Subscription” and cancel at any time.
